The VW engined Galaxy is a good vehicle for remapping nice power gains and much improved fuel economy too – The Audi a6 LeMans was also due in for a little tuning but on inspection of the ecu data had already been tuned, and this one had been done well so we left as it is

Rob is a plumber and carries tools with a fair amount of weight so his economy was not very good – sub 30mpg – To improve economy in a van that carries weight we would always start with a performance remap – the extra power will help get the added weight moving quickly and up to cruising speed – thus helping economy
Vauxhall Astra Van 1.9 CDTi 150 Remap

After removing the tuning box and sprint boost box we tuned this Astra for performance which will also help fuel economy, a remap is better for reliability than the tuning box

Always good gains from the edc17 cp46 ECU in the latest VW cars – pretty tricky to solder the two boot pins and 1 CNF as thy are very close together but the gains are worthwhile

We just took the top off the performance level remap we do for this big Audi as fuel economy is important for the customer as well as performance – the heavier the car the heavier the tune we will add to achieve improved mpg
Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi Remap
DPF Deleted and ECU Remapped 17/04/2013
Gain 35BHp 70NM
Another clogged DPF on the 1.9 CDTi Zafira – this one with 71k miles – The owners local garage had cut the DPF out but the MIL light was still on and smoke billowed from the back – Fault codes cleared and the car remapped with DPF off software and a Blue Optimize remap all is now well – turbo doesn’t seem to be in too bad a condition and spooled up well – another problem solved
Jaguar X-Type 2.0D Auto Remap

Blue Optimize remap today to improve the fuel economy of this late Jaguar X-Type diesel – It shares most components with the Ford Mondeo so is very tunable – gains are smaller with Blue Optimize but the fuel savings should be between 10 and 15 %
Mercedes R320cdi Remap

This is a blue optimize remap for improved fuel economy – slightly more power than a blue optimize on say a c320cdi as the extra weight benefits more with a touch more power – these R ( w251 ) Mercs are pretty powerful with 224bhp stock – this one now has 256 and is more economical – happy days
VW Crafter 2.5 TDi 109 Remap

This 2007 VW Crafter had been converted into a spacious motor home – this adds a fair bit of weight so in order to improve drive-ability and fuel economy a performance remap was chosen – This will improve fuel economy and make it a lot more fun to drive
Audi Q7 3.0 TDi Remap

The Q7 is a really big heavy vehicle and 230BHp while very adequate could do with improving and this is what we have done here – Gives a better turn of speed and certainly no worse on fuel probably 5-10% better
Audi A3 2.0 TDi 170Bhp Remap

The VAG group 2.0 TDi 170BHp engine even back to this 2007 model have been recalled by Audi to replace the injectors – we recommend this to be done before remapping as the original injectors are prone to fault – After that a remap will give a nice boost in power and economy

We have after some in depth looking found the new 114bhp 250Nm Bluemotion Transporter is exactly the same and basically a down tuned 140Bhp 340Nm version – so remapping will give amazing results
… Two maps were initially changed to make this a 140bhp then tuned in the usual manner which gives at least 30Bhp and 60Nm of further gain
What a difference – It now goes very very well indeed
unfortunately the customer wanted it tuned on site so we could not put it on our dyno to prove results but next one we will do this and post the graphs
Mercedes ML320CDi Auto Remap
ECU Remapped and DPF Delete 29/04/2013
Gain 42BHp 130Nm
I’m not sure what had happened to the DPF on this ML but I presume it was blocked – It had been removed by the trade customer with us left to do the software. It only had 27k miles on it so this is very quick for a DPF to block but I guess if it has only been used in town this could happen – once the filter has been removed it only takes us an hour to do the remap and DPF delete – no more problems and a lot more power
