Land Rover Defender 2.2 Remap

Land Rover Defender 2.2 Remap

ECU Remapped 03/09/2015
Gain 30Bhp 60Nm
The latest defender ( this was a 63 reg) shares its engine with the Ford Transit and has the same ecu although this time located at the rear of the engine block – removing the bonnet makes it easy to access and the ecu is out and open on the bench in 20 minutes max – then with a 12v power supply with slightly increased ampage it reads and writes easily – The difference to this remap on the road is immense – its suddenly becomes a vehicle with get up and go – If you own a 2.2 Defender I cannot recommend a remap highly enough

Mitsubishi EVO X FQ 360 Remap

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ360 Remap

ECU Remapped 03/09/2015
Gain 35Bhp 65Nm
Peter was having difficulty finding someone to remap his evo x – not sure why – we have done a few of these and it is available now on Kess – About an hour to remap and its now very quick indeed – not that it was slow before

VW Golf R32 Remap

VW Golf R32 Remap

ECU Remapped 03/09/2015
Gain 22Bhp 30Nm
The now forgotten 3.2 litre Golf R is a really super car. VW build quality and great looks. Of course VW now use the 2.0 TFSi engine in the R version. These will become a classic though

BMW E46 318i Remap

BMW E46 318i Remap

ECU Remapped 05/09/2015
Gain 12Bhp 15Nm
So the figures dont look amazing – but the drivability of this 2.0 litre 318i are vastly improved – not flat area between 1700-2100 rpm and smoother power delivery and a bit of extra power – NASP engines can be worthwhile tuning despite more conservative gains and the 4 cylinder petrol bmws are certainly worth tuning

VW Caddy 2.0 140 Remap

VW Caddy 2.0 TDi 140PS Remap

ECU Remapped 22/09/2015
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
The best small van on the market the VW Caddy is just so well built and reliable – The highest level of trim is the Highline – check – the best engine is teh 2.0 tdi 140 ps – check – the best colour is Black – check – lowered, side rails this van had eveything and now it has some extra go to add to the show with a great remap. I miss my Caddy – does it show

Ford Ranger 2.5 TDCI Rema[p and EGR Delete

Ford Ranger 2.5 TDCI Remap and EGR Delete

ECU remapped 24/09/2015
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
after 2006 the Ford ranger got the common rail 2.5 tdci engine replacing the 2.5 Mazda lump and that was good for tuning – An obd socket and a Bosch edc16 ecu always a good mix – 5 minutes to read – 10 mins to mod the file – 5 mins to write back 5 minutes for a smoke and the jobs done – no more egr fault codes and a quicker truck even from really low revs – time will tell but I suspect improved fuel economy too

Ford Focus 2.5 ST 225Remap

Ford Focus ST 225Bhp Remap

ECU Remapped 24/09/2015
Gain 50Bhp 100Nm
Great cars for sensible money and a remap that transforms the way the car gets down the road – what’s not to like – well apart from the fuel economy – Improved throttle response and a bag load of extra power without any other modifications this is the best bang for bucks available

BMW 120I Remap

BMW 120I Remap and air filter

ECU Remapped 25/09/2015
Gain 17BHp 22Nm
Gains are limited on the BMW 1 series but this car has had all the sensible mods now – cat back exhaust, KandN air filter and a remap – the cat is still in place which Ii think is a good thing as many like to remove this but it is an MOT failure. The flat spots 1700-2100 area ironed out and throttle response improved – thats a good result

BMW 535d remap

BMW 535D Remap

ECU Remapped 28/09/2015
Gain 55BHp 130Nm
All BMW 535ds are automatic – thats because the manual box cannot handle this amount of torque – If you re looking for an economical diesel this is not the car for you – If you are looking for a fast car that happens to be diesel and reasonable fuel economy you’ve hit the jackpot here, 276 bhp in stock form 331 when mapped mpg in the early 20s round town if you drive hard but 40 an the motorway

Mercedse c220 cdi coupe remap

Mercedes c220 cdi w204 coupe Remap

ECU Remapped 29/09/2015
Gain 38BHp 85Nm
Mercedes use Delphi ecus in their 2148cc diesel vehicles which is good news for tuning – they can pretty much all be tuned via the obd port ( barring a very limited 2007/2008 models ) and tehy tune very nicely – especially of note on these is throttle response – Mercedes do like to give their cars a very stodgy throttle and our remap not only gives more power but makes them feel nicer to drive

Audi a3 2.0 TDi Remap

Audi a3 8p 2.0 tdi Remap

ECU Remapped 29/09/2015
Gain 40 Bhp 80Nm
the 2.0 tdi engine from VAG has so many homes across the VAG range and even in some others such as the Mitsubishi Outlander – tuning it is nearly obligatory – great gains better drive and better fuel economy – that does make sense then

BMW E53 X5 3.0D Remap

BMW E53 X5 3.0 D Remap

ECU Remapped 29/09/2015
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
Mostly when we change cars we get a newer one but this time John was fed up with his wife getting his new X5 dirty when she goes to her horses so bought a great condition older one – a 2003 no less which was a changeover year when BMW upgraded the 3 litre diesel from 184 bhp to 218 bhp – unfortunately this was a 184 BHp version – no wonder it felt a bit ponderous – still we can fix that in 20 minutes flat its not much better to drive and goes a lot better – Its pretty clean at the moment – Mrs John will soon sort that out though

Saab 9-5 2.3T Hot Remap

Saab 9-5 2.3 T HOT Remap

ECU Remapped 30/09/2015
Gain 35 Bhp 70Nm
Bit old school now but this was the HOT 2.3T version with 250Bhp in stock form despite the engine cover stating ecopower. Its a trionic T7 ecu which require a bit of fiddling to write the software – a 40amp fuse needs removing and then after the write the battery must be disconnected for 5 minutes – all worthwhile though as the car is now much more responsive with extra turbo boost – Stuart does like his fast cars and this is better now – we even gave it a new KandN air filter for good measure

Zafira 1.9 CDTi Remap

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi Remap

ECU remapped 30/09/2015
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
Big gain and better throttle response on the Zafira and improved mpg too – A very popular vehicle especially in the minicab trade. Fuel economy is so important when you are driving many hours –
