These Range Rover TDV8s are fantastic cars – Paul has just bought this one and while he was enjoying the drive wanted a bit more go – well we can do more than a bit. Now boasting 335bhp and 800Nm its a flying machine – Paul came back from the test drive looking like the Cheshire Cat – and with sensible driving (doubtful) he will see improvements of up to 4mpg as well – apart from winning the lottery he couldn’t have had a better day – ticket for Tuesday I guess.

Paul’s Nissan suffered from too much lag trying to pull away and a little down on power for what is a pretty chunky vehicle – 90 minutes work and its now faster from the off with a distinct lack of lag and definately a bit more pacey – in fact gets through its limited rev range much more like a petrol.

Ford Transit 90T350 Recovery Truck

If you are in the recovery game you need something that will still keep pace even with a car on board and this Transit was just not cutting it – despite having a mechanical Turbo – so no boost control map we can still give this Ford a bit more oomph to get it to the breakdowns quicker and not struggle home when laden.

Steve brought his Vectra in as he was having DPF Problems – he is in the motor trade so we remapped his car to give better performance and fuel economy as well as removing the DPF function from the ECU – he will now replace the DPF on the car with a straight through exhaust pipe – DPF problems resolved and extra performance and economy – happy days.

Land Rover Discovery3 TDV6

Nick wanted to reduce the lag in his automatic Land Rover Discovery and improve fuel economy – he tows a fairly large caravan a fair bit so a performance tune is the way to go here so the vehicle is not working too hard when pulling – test drive by his wife reported a much faster pull away with no lag at all and swifter progression down the road.

OK this doesnt look like a big gain – but the way it drives is a massive difference – we have tuned this vehicle specifically for improved economy but the extra power along with sharper throttle response makes it feel a whole bunch nippier – fuel efficiency will be improved also.

VW Passat 2.0 tdi 170Bhp

Gary has had this vehicle for just 6 months and 6k miles but the DPF is causing problems keeping getting stuck in regeneration despite only having 32k miles and much motorway driving – a new dpf by VW was £2000- option here was to remap the ECU gaining bhp and mpg and write the DPF function from the ecu – next we removed the DPF from the car and removed the internals from the box – end of story and aproximately 1/4 of the price.

Shared with the Vauxhall Vectra the Saab 1.9 TiD engine has plenty to give especially when they are  lackluster to start with – no problem for us, good gains in power and economy will benefit especially when towing as this owner likes to do.

Andrew has literally just aquired his DS3 with just 100 miles on the clock he wants the full Motorsport deal
So in with the K&N panel filter – thats a squeeze, and on with the map   –    its now equal in Bhp to a DS3 Racing – but with 45Nm of torque more than the Racing – another happy DS3 owner.

Jeep share a lot of engines with Mercedes but in this case the engine is basically a VW 2.0 TDi 140 – so that’s a great engine to tune – Richard will be towing a caravan with this so the extra ooph will come in very handy – and improved mpg too.

Having been so impressed with the remap on his TT (on left in photo) this customer wanted his new TTS remapped right from the word go, so off we went to Victoria Audi to put the first back to standard and remap the new TTS – its so new in fact it hasn’t even been registered yet, you can even still see the plastic travel cover on the car.

Not the most common vehicle on the road this one but it could do with a little tuning to help hill climbs and generally make it a bit more lively – well that is exactly what we gave it – Also worth noting it now pulls much better and smoother from low revs in long gears – thats bound to improve the mpg too.
