Honda Accord 2.2I-CDTi Remap

Gain 38BHp 75Nm 
Some cars just feel so much better once they are remapped and the Honda 2.2i-CDTi engines in Civics, Accords, FR-Vs and CR-Vs are one of them – 38Bhp and 75Nm is a great gain but it feels even better than that – such a changed car smoother with much less lag, more power all through the rev range and if driven anywhere near sensibly will give good mpg improvements too 

BMW Z3 2.8 Remap

Gain 14BHp 24Nm 
6 Cylinder BMWs are legendary and the 2.8 litre engine in the z3 or other 3 and 5 series BMWs is a peach – the same as in the HeasmanRacing Kumho car and the tuning helps the response greatly -feels a lot sharper with a bit of extra power all through the rev range 

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi Auto Remap

ECU Remapped and DPF Delete 04/06/2014
Gain 38BHp 75Nm 
Only 45,000 miles and this 2008 Vauxhall had blocked up its DPF to the extent it only just started and then would stall in a few seconds – removing the DPF but leaving the Catalytic converter in place is the way forward then remapping the ecu to delete the DPF strings and we might as well give it a performance boost with a remap at the same time – thats a lot better now

Vauxhall Zafira DPF Delete and Blend Remap

Gain 33 BHp 65Nm 
This manual Zafira was suffering the same problems as the earlier one but was probably more to be expected as it was a minicab with 145,000 miles and probably does a lot of short stop/start journeys.
Same process of removing the offending DPF and remapping the ecu – this time not as strong with the remap though as fuel economy is paramount over performance and with this sort of mileage we wouldn’t want the turbo giving trouble

BMW f31 320d 184Bhp Tuning

The F series BMWs cannot have their ecus remapped as we would like – this is why here at FlashRemapping we have come up with the solution – the FR Tuning module – This is a programmed module that plugs into the boost pressure sensor, Common rail sensor and crankcase angle sensor ( on diesels, petrols will have different sensors) – this means we can control the tuning accurately and provide great tuning for what are otherwise untuneable vehicles

Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Remap

This Range Rover had the big body kit and alloys and all the pose factor you could want from a Range Rover – but it needed the go tomatch the show and while it wont ever match a 5.0 supercharged its much improved now and fuel economy beats the s/c hands down

VW Transporter 2.0 TDi 140 Remap

This was a March 2014 Transporter which I felt might not be tuneable following the failure on two last week but the edc17cp20 read and wrote fine – nice power gains again here and leaves me to ask Alientech if they have cracked 2014 VW software

Ford Transit Fleet Tuning

For the last 2 days we have been tuning 13 and 63 plate Ford Transits for improved economy as part of another massive fleet project – These guys are saving some serious money by tuning their vans for improved fuel economy – These later Transits are not the easiest to tune but the savings make it well worthwhile

Fleet Transit Tuning

For those interested once the ecu has been removed from the vehicle this is the set up on the bench for reading and then writing the modified “Blue Optimize” software that will improve fuel economy significantly – with fuel costs generally around 30% of a fleet’s costs this is a sensible option for fleet operators

VW Touareg 2.5 Tdi Remap

Nice gains from the heavyweight VW, The 2.5 litre engine was always a little underpowered in this vehicle and the remap certainly helps this situation without the need to change car 

VW Transporter T5 2.5 TDi Remap

one of the later T5s before the facelift this one, 130BHp in stock for gets into the ball park of the higher powered 174 version that is so sought after in the second hand market – Its a quick process being an OBD remap – this one taking just 45minutes

Mercedes E220 Cdi Remap

I know what you are thinking why am I tuning this ECU on the bench when it is a 2006 model that surely has a Bosch EDC16 ecu well thats where this car is different it actually had a Delphi DCM 3.2 ecu that I have never seen in a vehicle of this age – usually mid 2007 Mercedes switched to Delphi ECUs – but not really a problem 
couple of power leads from the tri core adaptor – drop a delphi probe on the BDM pads and a quick link on two bringing pins and she reads and writes the modified Blue Optimize software in 75 minutes all in 
More power, Smoother and more MPG ding dong 

Audi A3 3.2 Quattro Remap

Gain 24Bhp 29Nm
The 3.2 Litre Quattro is a real nice car and always well specced – this one has the Bose sound system that is so fantastic in Audis and lots of other options – 250BHp in stock form can take a little tweeking with a bit of timing advance and torque limiters adds about 10% to the Bhp figure – We also did a scan with Vag-com before the remap as it has only recently been bought by this owner but nothing untoward except a rear number plate bulb out – that is always nice to know 
Now its a bit quicker with better throttle response even with the DSG gearbox

VW Transporter T5 1.9 TDi Remap

Our favorite vans the T5 Transporters – so solidly built and pretty reliable and we are not the only ones who think so second hand prices are always strong on them – This one was a 54 reg with just 76K miles which is pretty low but the power just wasn’t enough for the owner – well we can do something about that 1 hour of remapping and we have unleashed 38BHp and 75Nm of extra power – now that makes it a whole lot better to drive and improved fuel economy too happy days

Chrysler 300c V-Switch Tuning

Race – +85Bhp +175Nm 
This customer was pretty local but decided to buy a v-switch which means he can switch between 3 maps for his car any time he wants – 
He chose the Blend tune for economy and a race map for when he wants to get funky or of course return to stock factory settings 
You can order a V-Switch for most cars that are tunable via the diagnostic port (OBD) and we can send them anywhere in the world

Mercedes E270 Cdi Remap

The Avntguarde no less – top of the range 2.7 litre diesel – now with oodles of extra oomph – only problem with remapping these is when writing the modified software Mercedes in their wisdom have decided that all the engine fans should come on sucking 60-65 amps of power – that is why we carry the big snap-on battery stabilizer – that copes with the battery drain and removes write error posability

BMW E46 M3 Remap

Gain 20 Bhp 25Nm 
The gains don’t sound massive but we also raise the rev limiter by 300rpm and remove the 155mph speed limiter. The throttle will also be far more responsive – This is a definitely worthwhile improvement on what is already a fantastic engine

Ford Transit Connect TDDi Remap

As a Valeter Anthony can carry a generator and 400 litres of water in the back of his little 75BHp Connect – hmm that isn’t going to work then – hills are something to avoid at all costs – Mapping has given this van the extra power it really needs to do what is required 

Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 CDTi DPF Delete

Gain 28Bhp 55Nm ( Economy Map )
OH Dear OH Dear OH dear – DPF removed and deleted by another company in Croydon who cannot be contacted any more – drive a few miles and the coil light was still flashing and goes into limp mode and has even cut out – Stuart called us now hating remapping after this shoddy workmanship – being the 1.7 cdti denso ecu we have to remap this on the bench – the ecu was not properly resealed by the previous tuner and the plastic fasteners from the inner wheel arch were missing as was the undertray – now I don’t like ecus in the front bumper because of potential accident damage and road salt corrosion but this was asking for trouble – after reading the ecu the previous tuner ( and I say tuner in the broadest sense of the word cos this guy should be shot ) all that had been done is delete the fault codes from the ecu – the dpf strings were still there – thats why the light was on but no fault codes could be read – this is not good 
We have now corrected the problems and car is back up and running

Ford Transit 2.4 TDDi Remap

Big old transit with just 115Bhp will benefit from a performance ramp with more power better throttle response and 12-16% better fuel economy – For a delivery driver where the van is on the go all the time this is extremely cost effective 

Vauxhall Astra VXR Remap

Gain 40BHp 80Nm 
Quoted gains are from a stock car – this was a little different – was already mapped and decatted but with loads of flat spots 
Looking atthe file we found a small amount of boost increase – an 02 delete but target Lambda was all over the place – increasing boost brought up a spanner light on the dash and it did suffer from the Turkey Chatter which is the sign of a knackered wastegate or diverter valve or boost control solanoid.
We have remapped around these problems and now its a touch quicker but less flat spots 

BMW 335I Remap

These twin turbo charged 3 litre BMWs are quick and with our special Race map they are extremely quick – very close to e90 M3 Power – They do take a while to remap being a 55 minute read and 15 minute write and even then ecu adaptations can take 150-200 miles of driving to fully settle in but it really is worth it 

Ford Mondeo ST 220 TDCi Remap

Mazda 5 2.0D Remap

143Bhp in stock form is OK for a 7 seater family transporter but we can do better than that – Happy with his Mondeo we tuned yesterday this customer brought the family wagon round for our little tweak as was certainly impressed again – now lets have a look at that Volvo FM13 480 he drives for a living 

Vauxhall AstraVan 1.7 DTi Remap

75Bhp in stock form couldnt pull the skin of fa rice pudding – now 100/105 is a lot better – hardly a ferrari but percentage gain is pretty impressive – and if you load the back up with tools it will now get you to work on time 

BMW X5 35X-Drive Remap

Gain 55BHp 130Nm 
286 BHp in stock form rises to 341BHp and a whopping extra 130Nm of torque – now thats a huge gain – the BMW drives like a much lighter nimbler vehicle after the remap and speed limiter removed as well for the AutoBahn moments when you can really go for it – and with great mpg this Bimmer laughs in the face of its petrol brothers at the pumps

Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Remap

The car came to us as it was a bit flat – down on power – a quick fault code check and drive with the MAF unplugged pointed to a non functioning Mass air flow meter – £50 for a pattern part or £80 for a Pierburg original ( always choose OE prts) will correct this and a remap to get it really going well – worth doing as teh 56 plater had less that 80k on the clock – not bad by todays standards – plenty of life in her yet 

Audi TT 2.0 TFSi Remap

Cheeky little Audi TT which with the 2.0 Tfsi engine that powers so many VW Audi group cars we know they will go really well – I know our website claims 40BHp 80Nm but on most occasions more is easily achievable 50-55 bhp 90-100Nm is usually the result if dynod
