ML Tuning box

Rubbish tuning box removed from a Mrecedes ML today – you cannot fit common rail tuning boxes on diesel vehicles with a DPF and expect no problems

Mercedes ML320 CDI REMAP

Mercedes ML 320 CDI Remap

ECU Remapped 03/06/2016
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
This ML came in with a blocked dpf and the dash like a Christmas tree – It didnt take long to realize the common rail tuning box probably containing nothing more than a 20p resistor had caused the problem – after resolving the dpf issues and removing the offending box we then remapped the car correctly – now giving good power and economy – A single channel ( one plug) tuning box that increases fuel rail pressure should not be used on a car with a diesel particulate filter ( if at all )- it will only increase the quantity of fuel in the mixture – more fuel = more smoke ( particulate matter ) the dpf will not be able to cope or regenerate enough to keep the balance – careful remapping adjusting boost and fuel ( and other parameters) will keep the AFR ( air fuel ratio) correct and you will not have what nearly turned into an expensive problem.

Range Rover 4.4 Litre v8 Remap

ECU Remapped 05/06/2016
Gain 25BHp 40Nm
Im going to tell you again – If you have never owned a V8 get your skates on and buy one – not much sounds as good as a v8 burble – now theres probably a lot of tree huggers that will be spitting their dummies out over such statements but this customer has owned this Vogue for over 6 years and only done 20 odd thousand miles – now showing a total of 87k – It will last many years yet and even if it does another 100k the carbon footprint of that will be less than that of the production of a new car. So there is my reasoning – We can improve the throttle response and drivability on these with a remap getting the best out the vehicle

Mecedse w212 E220CDi Remap

Mercedes w212 e220 cdi Remap

ECU Remapped 07/06/2016
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
alhough this is a 2013 Mercedes we can still remap via the OBD port as in an E Class Mercedes use a delphi dcm3.5 ecu which makes the job simple – great gain from teh diesel powered Merc with better throttle response and more power right through the rev range

VW Caddy 2.0 Sdi Remap and SPEED LIMITER REMOVAL

VW Caddy 2.0 SDi Remap and speed limiter removal

ECU Remapped 08/06/2016
Gain 8Bhp 15Nm
It doesnt take a genius to realise this is an ex British Gs Caddy – the light blue colour gives it away straight away – They do make a great workhorse second hand – no expense is spared on their servicing and they are generally low milage – this one has just 33k on the clock – It also had leccy windows and air conditioning – nice – but what isnt nice is a 60mph speed limiter – early BG caddies had a separate sped limiter on the throttle pedal but the later batch like this 2010 one the speed limiter is in the ecu so we can remap the ecu for a little extra power and remove the speed limiter

BMW 640D Remap

ECU Remapped 14/06/2016
Gain 45Bhp 100Nm
What a beautiful car and a superb drive this 2016 640d is – The 3 litre Diesel engine produces 313 BHp in stock form – It is a tricky ecu to remap as the board would need to be flipped over to get at the boot pin and two gpt pins on the ecu – that is too dangerous and we have perfected a safer way to get to these connection points – a tiny hole is drilled in the reverse of the ecu which allows us to connect via our pins ( we make these pins ourselves and have sold over 600 of them to tuners worldwide) The ecu can then be read and written with our modified software giving a lovely boost to its already respectable power

Peugeot 206 1.6 Remap

ECU Remapped 12/06/2016
Gain 10BHp 14Nm
Not the massive gains that some turbo charged engine achieve by remapping but this automatic 1.6 litre NASP car was rather lacklustre – With only 60K miles it has plenty of life left in it and the remap peps it up considerably making it much more fun

BMW X6 4.0D Remap

ECU Remapped 14/06/2016
Gain 45BHp 100Nm
Second bench tune today – this in a E71 X6 – same engine power as the 640d but being previous to the F series cars only requires the connection to one boot pin on the Bosch EDC15CP45 ECU, just a single tiny hole to connect our pins to – Very nice gains in power

Mercedes C220 CDi Remap

Mercedes C200 CDi Remap

ECU Remapped 16/06/2016
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
Early start this morning for a drive up to Norwich to see our old friend Shane – A remap on his customers Mercedes – test drive and then a drive back to our Kent base for the 2 O clock kick off – made it back with 30 minutes to spare. The mercedes went very nicely after the remap – throttle response nicely increased making the drive much sharper and extra power right through the rev range

VW Transporter t5 1.9 Remap

VW Transporter T5 1.9 TDi Remap

ECU Remapped 18/06/2016
Gain 38BHP 75Nm
This was an early T5 but with less than 100k miles which is probably pretty rare nowadays – Remapping for all Transporters is via the OBD plug so in around 1 hour we can transform the 104 bhp into a 142 BHp bus – If you have the 84Bhp version this also can be tuned to 142BHp

Audi a6 3.0 TDi Bi Turbo Remap

Audi a6 3.0 Tdi BiTurbo Remap

ECU Remapped 22/06/2016
Gain 65BHp 130Nm
This BiTurbo Audi is a monster of a diesel 315Ps ( 312Bhp ) in stock form and that is no slouch with 650Nm of torque – remapping was simple as we had origional software on our database so we can remap via the OBD port – 70 minutes and this super fast estate is now a missile with 780Nm of torque and roughly 380Bhp – Is there a faster way to get your purchase back from IKEA ?

Subaru Forrester xt Remap

Subaru Forrester 2.0 XT Remap

ECU Remapped 23/06/2016
Gain 30Bhp Peak 55Nm
4 cylinder turbocharged boxer engine same as in a Impreza WRX and with the same ecu so can be remapped easily once connecting fiddly plugs under the dash – Gains of 30Bhp peak and up to 45BHp through the rev range – similarly torque increased by 55Nm at peak and up to 80Nm through the rev range

Mercedes Sprinter 313 Remap

Mercedes Sprinter 906 Remap

ECU Remapped 24/06/2016
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
A 2012 Sprinter can still be mapped via the OBD port as it uses a delphi ecu – so in just over an hour the 130Bhp Sprinter now makes just under 170Bhp and loads of torque. These vans are THE choice for those who need to carry considerable loads and cover large miles we have seen them with really big mileages and the engines re pretty bulletproof – remapping is just the icing on the cake

Audi a6 2.7 T Remap

Audi a6 2.7t Remap

ECU Remapped 25/06/2016
gain 50Bhp 110Nm
The gains on this car might not have been so big as it had been remapped previously but while nothing stood out as being “bad” it was very weak – just like the “no read” function put on the ecu by the previous tuner – the ecu read just fine – why bother on a me7 “no read” functions generally dont stop a thing
The car is now a lot more responsive and powerful right through the rev range with a remap the way it should be done

Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost 140 Remap

Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost Remap

ECU Remapped 26/06/2016
Gain 15Bhp 30Nm
This Fiesta was the most powerful available in the 1.0 ecoboost range but despite that there are still nice gains to be had with a remap. All obd remapping on the Bosch MED17.,2 ecu – and the job takes just over an hour – Note all 1.0 ecoboost engines can be tuned to 155Bhp as the only difference from the factory is the software

Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6 cdti 90 Remap

Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6 cdti 90 Remap

ECU Remapped 26/06/2016
Gain 45BHp 85Nm
If you have bought the 90BHp version of the 1.6 CDTi single turbo Vivaro/Primastar/Traffic do not despair all is not lost – 90BHp is pathetic but there is good news – the 90 bhp and 115 bhp are identical engines so with a little jiggery pokery with the ecu we can add a serious amount of power by transferring the changes to a 115 and then mapping it on from there – the difference will stop you pulling your hair out when loaded and going up a hill ( which is good for those of us who cannot afford to loose and more hair ) Fuel economy will also be improved

Seat Leon Cupra 1.8T Remap

ECU Remapped 30/06/2016
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
This 2002 Leon had under 100k miles and mechanically in excellent condition – remapping the 1.8T engine always gives good results as long as it has no weak coil packs or diverter valve – much quicker down the road after the remap – This is about the 6th car we have remapped for the same customer – with great results every time no wonder he keeps coming back
