ECU Remapping, Chipping and Chip Tuning

Subaru Impreza WRX Remap

Subaru Impreza WRX Remap

ECU Remapped 04/02/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Decatted up-pipe and centre cat with a forge dump valve and open cone filter KandN style are sensible mods on the WRX – the remap just brings everything together as well as killing p0420 etc codes asscociated with lambda sensor

Volvo C30 D4 2.0 Litre Remap

Volvo C30 D4 2.0 Litre Remap

ECU Remapped 06/02/2014
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
Looked at the list and was expecting a Siemens ecu (sid206) to come out of the near side front wheel arch but after the usual fight with the wheel arch lining the Bosch label came into view – very strange – fortunately it was the usual Bosch edc17cp22 as found in many d5 volvos so tuning was a simple tri-core bench tune – nice gains here with sharper throttle response makes it about 212bhp all told – a quick little diesel

Volvo XC60 D5 185 Remap

Volvo XC60 D5 185 Remap

ECU Remapped 07/02/2014
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
As you can see the edc16 ecu,d Volvo is not a breeze to remap – no k-line is present in the OBD plug so we have to connect one to pin 43 of the ecu plug – the blue wire in the photo) after that tuning is the normal OBD process and nice gains and fuel economy are achievable on the 2.4 litre Volvo making the extra work well worthwhile

Vauxhall Astra 1.7Cdti Remap

Vauxhall Astra 1.7Cdti Remap

ECU Remapped 07/02/2014
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
100 Bhp in stock form is OK but there is so much more available in these Vauxhall Astras its now quicker, more responsive and even more frugal than it was before

BMW M3 E46 SMG Remap

BMW M3 E46 SMG Remap

ECU Remapped 08/02/2014
Gain 20Bhp 25Nm
With the smg gearbox the m3 is a super quick car but limited to 155mph ( where permitted ) with our remap we will remove the speed limiter and raise the rev limiter by 150rpm as well – so after an hour of FlashRemapping loving this is really a supercar

BMW E46 320i Remap

BMW E46 320i Remap

ECU Remapped 08/02/2014
Gain 12Bhp 15Nm
Superb build quality on the e46 makes them a sensible choice and decent power in stock form but the remap sharpens them up nicely and makes a much nicer drive especially between 1700-2100 rpm where the BMW 4 cylinder petrols have a massive flat spot

Mitsubishi L200 2.5 Remap

Mitsubishi L200 2.5 Remap

ECU Remapped 11/02/2014
Gain 40BHp 75Nm
With 160k miles on the clock this L200 had the rallyart tuning module that claims to gain 31bhp but kept on going wrong – so he brought it to us as we can tune these later shape l200s via the obd plug – most tuners have to bench tune them – it was down on power from standard probably due to some poor fuel and mileage but our tune showed a respectable 40BHP 75Nm gain on the dyno shitfing peak power lower down in the rev range and making it a whole bunch better to drive

Suzuki Swift V DDiS Remap

Suzuki Swift V DDiS 1.3 Remap

Ecu Remapped 12/02/2014

Gain  29.9 Bhp 58.3 Nm

The Mk V is a little different from the MKIV as we discovered, although having a Magnetti Marelli ECU its the later version and needed a lot of work – read more on the development work here

Mazda 3 MPS Remap

Mazda 3 MPS Remap

ECU Remapped 17/02/2014
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
The MPS with its 2.3 litre DISI engine is a quick hatch with 260Bhp claimed stock – our remap sharpens that even further getting it close to 300BHp – that sort of power would cost a lot of money in a VAG group car in comparison

BMW 530D E60 Remap

BMW 530D E60 Remap

ECU Remapped 24/02/2014
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
Big gains from the big bimmer and a much more responsive drive – This is the third BMW this customer has had remapped by FlashRemapping – he knows a good thing

Range Rover Sport 3.0TDV6 Remap

Range Rover Sport 3.0TDV6 Remap

ECU Remapped 26/02/2014
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
Even the Sport version of The Range Rover is a big old heavy lump of un-aerodynamicness and while the 3.0 litre engine is much better than the older 2.7 its still much better once remapped smoother and more powerful and with improved fuel economy – well worthwhile tuning even if it does involve tuning on the bench ( or fold up table in this case )
