Hyundai Tuscon 2.0 CRDi ECU Remapping

Hyundai Tuscon 2.0 CRDi
ECU Remapped 02/12/2012
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
With only 113Bhp as standard and an auto gearbox this Hyundai is dependable but very uninspiring – fortunately we can do something about that and pretty quickly – 50 minutes and we have made this into a much more practical vehicle that keeps up with traffic much more readily
and makes a change from silver BMWs that we have had a spate of recently

SAAB 9-3 Aero ECU Remapping

Saab 9-3 Aero
ECU Remapped 03/12/2012
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
The higher pressure turbo version of the 9-3 is pretty quick with just over 200BHp stock but a remap makes it even better much smoother and more powerful

Ford Focus RS ECU Remapping

Ford Focus RS
ECU Remapped 04/12/2012
Gain 35BHp 90Nm
Gain in BHp through the rev range and torque everywhere with peak at 90Nm make this RS Focus a realy lively vehicle despite having only a small gain in BHp at peak the extra torque makes the driving experience something extra special

Mercedes S320CDi ECU Remapping

Mercedes s320cdi 197Bhp
ECU Remapped 06/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 130Nm
Mark had us fit a tuning box on his early volvo d5 some time ago and called to ask if we could transfer the v-box to his new mercedes s class – well yes we can but our aim is to always do the best thing by the car – the v-box works well on a d5 volvo especially as the option was an ecu out chip change on that vehicle – the s class would always respond better to a remap and Mark was certainly impressed claiming it felt more like 100BHp gain – thanks to the improved throttle  response the car now feels really strong

BMW E39 530D ECU Remapping

BMW E39 530D Manual
ECU Remapped 07/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
Excellent gains from the big bimmer – the 6 cylinder engine alwaysd responds well to a remap and the driving experience is greatly enhanced

BMW Z4 E85 2.2 ECU Remapping

BMW Z4 2.2
ECU Remapped 10/12/2012
Gain 18BHp 21Nm
This doesn’t sound like a big gain from the 170BHp stock but the drive is very much improved especially in the 1700-2100 Rpm area where NASP BMWs are particularly flat. We also sharpen up the “Global Torque Request” map which is also known as “Drivers wish” this really means sharper throttle response which makes the drive much more fun

BMW E63 645i ECU Remapping

BMW 645I E63
ECU Remapped 10/12/2012
Gain 21BHp 32Nm
What a luxury motor- not that many of us can afford to run a big engined car now but actually its not that bad – this 645 was averaging 24mpg and gets more on a run so not as bad as you would think – the customer wanted to pep it up but also improve fuel economy so just a tweak on the timing advance and the toque limiters and torque request map should improve things by 1-2 mpg and also make it a touch more responsive ( we don’t often get asked to tune such cars for fuel economy so will be keeping an eye on the results here )

Chrysler 300C CRD ECU Remapping

Chrysler 300c 3.0 CRD
ECU Remapped 11/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
The big Chrysler uses Mercedes engine gearbox and same ecu as in a 320cdi so we know its very tunable and funnily enough we have seen better fuel economy from the performance remap compared to an economy tune – probably as the car is so heavy – that’s what we did here and I’m sure Dave will be happy with the results

Range Rover Sport TDV8 ECU Remapping

Range Rover Sport TDV8 3.6
ECU Remapped 12/12/2012
Gain 68BHp 160Nm
One of our favorite vehicles to remap and drive the Range Rover TDV8 responds so well , weather it be a 3.6 or 4.4 lire and in a sport or vogues the gains are amazing and even with all that extra power better fuel economy too – A must have remap for tdv8 owners

TRI-CORE ECU Remapping

Mini Cooper S ECU Remapping

Mini Cooper S 1.6 Turbo
ECU Remapped 14/12/2012
Gain 35BHP 70Nm
Not many of these coupe minis around but they are like all minis beautifully finished – ecu needed to be bench tuned but no problem here – and another delighted customer

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi ECU Remapping

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi 115Bhp
ECU Remapped 15/12/2012
Gain 30 BHp 60Nm
By modern standards the 115Bhp stock is a little weak but we can do something about that adding 30 BHp and 60Nm of torque making the vehicle feel more lively and improving fuel economy at the same time

Renault Traffic 2.0 DCi ECU Remapping

Renault Traffic 2.0 DCi 115BHp
ECU Remapped 15/12/2012
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
When you have a heavily laden van you need extra performance so the engine doesn’t have to work as hard – this in turn improves fuel economy which is what we have done here – much nicer to drive as well

BMW 330D E90 ECU Remapping

BMW 330D E90 231Bhp
ECU Remapped 15/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
Its never long between us remapping a BMW 3.0 Diesel because they just respond so well – this one was a manual with 100k miles – no problem for big miles on the 3 litre BMW engine – nicely improved with a performance remap

VW Touran 1.9 TDi DPF Removaland ECU Remap

VW Touran 1.9 TDi Bluemotion

ECU Remapped and DPF Removal 18/12/2012

Gain 30BHp 60Nm

Another Taxi with 120k on teh clock suffering from a clogged Dpf – Not worth replacing when you can remove it and gain power and fuel economy

Mitsubishi EVO X FQ360 ECU Remapping

Mitsubishi EVO X FQ360
ECU Remapped 19/12/2012
Gain 35BHp 65Nm peak

OK before you all say it – I want one too – what a superb car 4 doors for practicality and a brutal engine for playtime – now remapped using our ECU-TEK system – the only tool that will remap the EVO X via the OBD port – Its now gained aprox 100lb/ft of torque through the rev range – enough to put a smile on anyones face – Ray was certainly impressed – we will have this car on the dyno in the new year and will post the graphs

TRI-CORE ECU REMAPPING

Audi q5 3.0 TDi ECU Remapping

Audi Q5 3.0 TDI CR
ECU Remapped 21/12/2012
Gain 35BHp 80Nm
Nice gains from the already swift 3.0 TDI Q5 makes a much better drive and improved response from the auto gearbox – Hope you enjoy John

BMW 530D E60 ECU Remapping

BMW E60 530D Auto
ECU Remapped 22/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
Another of the big diesel engined BMWs that will be now faster smoother and with better throttle response
Happy Days

Range Rover Sport TDV6 ECU Remapping

Range Rover Sport TDV6
ECU Remapped 22/12/2012
Gain 38BHp 95Nm
The 188 BHp stock is a bit weak on the TDV6 version but the remap improves this and from our experience even a performance remap will help the mpg too

Chrysler 300c 3.0 crd ecu remapping

Chrysler 300c 3.0 crd 215BHp
ECU Remapped 24/12/2012
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
Bentley looks make this Chrysler a popular vehicle and when you know they share Mercedes running gear they make even more sense – It also makes them very tunable and even a performance tune will improve mpg as well as a much nicer drive

Audi a4 2.0 TFSi ECU Remapping

Audi A4 2.0 TFSi 197Bhp
ECU Remapped 28/12/2012
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Always a great result from the 2.0 TFSi engines whether in an Audi or any other VAG vehicle – shame we have had so much rain as the test drive was rather full of spinning wheels and traction control lights

Jeep Cherokee CRD ECU Remapping

Jeep Cherokee 2.8 CRD
ECU Remapped 29/12/2012
Gain 37bhp 85Nm
Nice gains from the Cherokee makes a big difference to performance and also improves mpg – not a car we see that often which is surprising considering the gains available

BMW E60 M5 V10 ECU Remapping

BMW M5 ECU Remap

BMW E60 M5 5.0V10 507Bhp
ECU Remapped 31/12/2012
Gain 22BHp 32Nm
Maybe not THE best car we have remapped this year but this is right up there, 2006 smg gearbox and only 32k miles this M5 was Mint – with the KandN Typhoon induction kit ( thats the one with the guards that help keep the hot engine air away from the cones )
So why remap it for what look like limited gains – well 22BHp and 32Nm is a fair gain and that is at peak the gains through the rev range make such a difference to the drive its really a worthwhile remap
As you would expect we have removed the 155mph speed limiter as well
What a very nice way to end a busy year remapping
Happy New Year to you all – Dave
