Mercedes E220 Cdi 2009 Remap

I have covered this subject before but will go over it again – since 2007 Mercedes have used Delphi ECUs in their saloon cars with 2148cc engines – thats 200/220 and 250 Cdi versions – the first versions used a delphi dcm3.2 and about 18 months later moved to Delphi DCM 3.5s – The 3.5 is tunable via the OBD port while the 3.2 needs to be tuned on the bench. Many tuners struggle with this as this 59 reg e220 you would think has the later dcm3.5 but would not respond to reading OBD – The ecu is on the passenger side scuttle under the cabin filter – You can see from the sticker it is not labelled as DCM3.2 OR 3.5 . The way to tell is the CRD Number CRD 2.10 and CRD 2.11 are dcm 3.2. CRD2.15/2.20 and later numbers are DCM3.5s. So while it was unusual to see this in a 59 reg car but not massively uncommon, Anyway the car mapped perfectly and is now a pleasure to drive

Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 Remap

If there is one vehicle that really needs remapping and the benefits outweigh the cost its the Land Rover / Range Rover 2.7 TDV6 – Easy to read and write and the file is pretty simple – 40 minutes and now the 188Bhp is increased to 226Bhp and an extra 85Nm of torque – Improved throttle response and more mpg – A win all ways round

Audi A3 2.0 TDi Remap

Dan was rather unlucky – he bought his A3 second hand and was really pleased with the performance – He had the letter from Audi we need car car for an update they did the software update that makes it emission compliant but when he got the car back it was soft – he was then advised it had previously been remapped and the update has wiped that – he now felt like he was drinking decaf coffee so booked in to have it remapped again – As the software is brand new we didnt have a file match for this upg software so had to remove the ecu to tune on the bench – All the performance is now restored and Dan is smiling again

Volvo s40 mk2 D4 2.0D Remap

This remap may well look uneventful – battery stabilizer on – laptop plugged into the OBD socket but for us tuners this is a landmark day – its a PSA engine with a Siemens SID803A ecu – so same as a Ford Mondeo that we have been able to tune OBD simply and easily for years but never been able to do this when in a Volvo – now we can with a special cable – and the good news read times are 2 minutes and write time less than 1 minute exactly the same as in the Ford – the dash turns itself off during the write which means the onboard clock has to be reset afterwards but no other problems and the remapped Volvo has a heap more torque

Seat Leon 2.0 TDi Remap

Seat Leon with egr deleted hybrid turbo and straight through exhaust will make some good power – leveling the egr duty cycle map eliminates the mil light on the dash and writing a good map gets rid of most of the lag associated with a larger impeller – although the larger the turbo the more laggy it will be – the customer was certainly impressed on teh test drive

Mercedes Vito 109 Remap

For many tradesmen their van is everything to them – deliveries collections, office, lunchroom and many times their daily driver too – So getting the best from their workhorse is important – The 109 Vito came with 95Bhp from the factory and feels better than that to drive but remapping gains are fantastic adding 38Bhp and 75Nm of torque really transforms this Mercedes to something you would actually look forward to driving – Its also a simple process that takes about an hour with no physical changes and very cost effective as the fuel savings pay for the remap in a short time

BMW E87 120D Remap

This e87 Bmw was a late 2007 so a 177 Bhp standard fitted with the edc17 tri-core ecu – but up to march 2009 we can tune these via the OBD plug – great gains from the BMW which was in great condition with only 70k miles – now why cant I find nice low mileage ones when I’m looking

VW Transporter T5 1.9 TDi Remap

Another transporter going through an upgrade to T5.1 front end – colour change, rear windows and a colour change respray so it wants the go to match the show – no problem a simple down teh plug remap completed in an hour – while we were there we also coded the van to have cruise control so all that needs doing now is the stalk changing and he will have cruise control as well

Mercedes w204 250CDi Remap

Fitted with a Delphi DCM3.5 ECU we can remap the c class Mercedes 2148cc Diesel via the OBD plug – Manual or auto makes no difference to the gains of a healthy 38Bhp and 75Nm of torque. Better throttle response, smoother power delivery and a useful improvement in MPG

BMW E83 X3 2.0D Remap

I dont know why but the Bosch edc16 ecu in the X3 takes a ridiculous 1 hour 5 minutes to read – Its not a new ecu or a particularly large file I guess thats just the way it is – Still its worth the wait as the extra 40Bhp makes such a difference on the road

Audi A3 2.0 tDI 170ps Remap

This 2007 Audi s line is still in superb condition and returning customer Mark knows exactly what to expect from a FlashRemapping remap – Extension lead was out ready, kettle was on and straight onto the job – these Siemens ecu’d Audis are a bit trickier to remap than teh Bosch ones but we have a perfect file and Mark was as equally happy with the results as he was with his a4, his Mercedes C class, his Ford Transit Connect and the other cars we have remapped for him I have now forgotten about

Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0 cdti 115Ps Remap

There are thousands and thousands of Vauxhall Vivaros , Renault Traffics and Nissan Primstars on the road, Generally working hard for their owners – this one belongs to a carpentry company and has just been bought from auction 4 years old with just 47k miles it was a bargain – The power of 115Ps is pretty decent but a simple OBD remap makes it so much more fun to drive and no struggling when laden – We prefer the 2.0 litre versions to the later 1.6 versions as they give the power over a wider band. Our remap on these vehciles also improves mpg by up to 20%
