ECU Remapped 02/01/2015
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
A lovely start to 2015 with a 2008 Nissan Navara 2.5 Dci in for a Blend remap – my favorite ecu (not) no way of tuning via the OBD port so out with the fuse box etc to get to the nasty little hideaway bolt under the ecu – still we know where it is and once undone the ecu comes out and can be opened on the bench – thanks to nissan for its copious use of blue loctite – then we can solder the wires for reading the ecu and then separate ones for writing – great gains tho once remapped it really feels like the handbrake has been released
and better mpg too with this level of tune

ECU Remapped 05/01/2014
Gain 38BHp 85Nm
The Honda engine is very tunable and great gains in performance and fuel economy can be achieved even with a performance level map – even up to 2010 they have a edc16 ecu and can be tuned quickly and simply via the OBD plug

BMW 730LD Remap

BMW 730LD Remap

ECU Remapped 06/01/2015
Gain 42BHp 90Nm
Another BMW that uses the 3 litre straight six diesel that is just a delight – great gains up to 270 odd bhp from 230 – and extra fuel economy too – this one brought to us by out friends at JRM Autos a partner garage that we work closely with.
Due too the rain we put the 7 series under the ramp with the x3 above it – it is not a prototype flying x3

Vauxhall Astra VXR Remap

Vauxhall Astra VXR Remap

ECU Remapped 07/01/2015
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
If you like front wheel drive understeer you will LOVE an Astra VXR – you can really scrub those front tyres out very quickly if you get too enthusiastic around the bends – It is however completely predictable in the way it does it even to the point of being fun – add another 40 bhp into the equation and it does have real grin factor – well equipped and nicely styled you can see why there are so many of these on the road and loved by the Yuff of today

Saab 9-3 1.9 TTid Remap

Saab 9-3 1.9 TTid Remap

ECU Remapped 08-01-2015
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Yesterday  we read this Saab via the OBD port but it did not give us a full enough read to make a proper modification to the software. This is how to get a full read from the edc16c39 ecu
BDM – Background debug module reads the whole file rather than the part file OBD – this way we can alter more maps and get the full power gains

Saab 9-3 TTiD 160 Remap

Saab 9-3 TTiD 160 Remap

ECU Remapped 08/01/2015
Gain 40Bhp 85Nm
The second TTiD in today and again a bench tune as the edc16c39 doesnt read the whole file – but what great gains its a really lively car now – people are shying away from Saab as there is no main dealer network and this makes them very good value in teh used car market and most of the running gear is GM so parts really arent a problem

BMW 320D Coupe Remap

BMW 320D Coupe Remap

ECU Remapped 13/01/2015
Gain 37BHp 75Nm
This car went into that well known tuner in Essex yesterday morning and after over 24 hours they claimed it could not be tuned – had been tuned before and although back to stock would not let them read the ecu – what twaddle – there is no anti read that can block a tri-core bdm read – It came over to us and in under 2 hours its tuned and ready to go and the file on the car was 100% original from the read
It is now quicker with better throttle response and will also be better on fuel ding dong

BMW 320CD E46 Remap

ECU Remapped 14/01/2015
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Although this was one of the very last e46 cabriolets its now 8 years old ( doesnt time fly ) but again in excellent condition and a sensible car with good fuel economy and a reasonable turn of speed but when remapped its just so much better in every department – throttle response, power and mpg all improved – Im surprised we still see these untuned

BMW 520D 177 Remap

ECU Remapped 19/01/2015 in Chertsey
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Being a 59 reg car this was always going to be tri-core tuning but no problem the ecu come out easily and the lid is one of the easier ones to get off the Bosch EDC17C06 ecu to reveal its Infineon TC 1766 Irom processor – two lives an earth and can high and low leads attached to the ecu plug and 1 boot pin and the ecu is ready to read, modify and write back – all in it takes around 2 hours to get the car back on the road now with improved performance, throttle response and more mpg

Volvo XC90 D5 Tuning

Volvo XC90 D5 Tuning

V-BOX Fitted 20/01/2015 in Wandsworth
Gain 38BHp 85Nm
The 185BHp Volvo xc90 D5 feels slower than it should with a big 2.4 litre 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine but does everything else well
even 7 seats if you need them, to tune the ecu is a bench tune or at least driving new k-line direct to the ecu but there is a simpler way – We dont fit many V-Boxes now but this is one vehicle where the results are amazing – great power gains and the last one we did reported fuel economy of 37.5 mpg vs 30.0 before the box was fitted – you really cannot argue with that what a result

Audi TT 1.8T 180 Remap

Audi TT 1.8T 180 Remap

ECU Remapped 23/01/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Car number 3 for this customer and the second TT, He knows a good thing and this 80k mile auto went extremely well – no coil pack problems that these cars are renowned for and nice to see one that hadn’t been tuned before – they do tune so well that many have previously been tinkered with – we always check for file originality before we go ahead with a remap

Ford Focus ST2 Remap

Ford Focus ST2 Remap

ECU Remapped 24/01/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 50BHP 100Nm
If you follow my blog you will know what I think of these cars – probably the best value hot hatch you can buy and boy do thy tune well – this had a slipper exhaust ~( cat back ) and a pipercross panel air filter and the remap makes the most of those sensible modifications – got all the go to match the looks now

Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 Cdti 130 Remap

Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 Cdti 130 Remap

ECU Remapped 24/01/2015
Gain 60Bhp 110Nm
The Insignia came with two power versions 130 and 160 bhp and they are exactly the same except the ecu programming so we can tune the 130 to a tuned 160 getting around 190 bhp which is a great big jump and really noticeable on the road
A bench tune taking about 90 minutes start to finish

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Remap

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Remap

ECU Remapped and air filter upgraded 28/01/2015 in Sidcup
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
What is a Lancer Ralliart – well its very similar to an evo x – same block same ecu etc this one had the SST gearbox as well but less power at 240 ps stock – well we can’t be having that can we – OBD Remap with battery stabilized as the fans do like to come on during the read/write process and in just over an hour the car is now has the performance to match its looks – bit more grown up and “family man” car than an evo but still good fun

Audi AllRoad 3.0 TDi V6 Remap

Audi AllRoad 3.0 TDi V6 Remap

ECU Remapped 28/01/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 50BHp 110Nm
Car number 3 for this customer to be remapped by us – knows a good thing and these 3.0 litre 233bhp Audis are a good thing and remap very well – lots more urge from 2000 rpm upwards once the turbo kicks in and driven any where near sensibly will give an improvement in mpg

Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD Remap

Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD Remap

ECU Remapped 30/01/2015 in Basildon
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
The third generation Mitsubishi L200 is a workhorse 4 door 5 seater and when in Warrior form even comes with leather seats and conditioned air so its actually quite sensible too – what is definately not sensible though is 115BHp in stock form – it couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding – but there is an answer – 90 minutes and one of our technicians can wrestle the ecu from the passenger kick panels plethora of wiring and get it tuned – It makes a mahoosive difference to the drive – I would go so far as to say its a must for l200 owners

BMW 335D Auto Remap

BMW 335D Auto Remap

ECU Remapped 30/01/2015 in Gravesend
Gain 55BHp 130Nm
Back to one of our favorites the twin turbo, three litre straight six BMW diesel engine – These are good news even is stock form – this earlier version one comes with 580Nm of torque in stock form and over 700Nm when mapped, compare that to the meagry 400Nm from a 335i and you understand why they are all Autos – the manual BMW box cannot cope with all that torque
They are a superb car and even at 7 or 8 years old still desirable on the second hand market

BMW 635D Remap

ECU Remapped 31/01/2015 in South Ockendon
Gain 55Bhp 130Nm
If you read my blogs regularly you will know how highly we rate the 3 litre twin turbo diesel engine from BMW 282 bhp ( 286ps) in stock form is no slouch and mated to an auto box ( a manual cannot cope with all the torque ) but remapped makes a massive difference. super lively, great throttle response and still great mpg – in fact improved if driven with any degree of restraint
